Conversational AI diagnostic assistant inside Bosch workshop software. Announced, not yet shipped in the US.
What it is good at
The genuine article — a conversational assistant that takes a fault code or symptom, draws on Bosch and OEM diagnostic data, and lets the technician push back interactively when the first suggestion does not resolve the fault. That interactive narrowing models how diagnosis actually works, rather than returning one ranked list. Grounding in Bosch technical data makes it less prone to invention than a general chatbot.
Use it for
Once available: projecting a live session and having the class critique the assistant's reasoning chain — which question should it have asked first. Comparing its suggested path against a student's own written diagnostic tree for the same fault. Teaching prompt discipline by showing how a vague symptom yields a useless suggestion and a precise one yields a testable hypothesis.
Where it falls short
Do not plan a course around it yet. As of September 2026 it has not shipped, it is gated behind the two most expensive ESI[tronic] packages, and the launch was European with US availability unconfirmed. No education pricing and no classroom layer — this is a shop tool. Like any LLM over a technical corpus it will produce a fluent, authoritative repair path for a fault it has no good data on.
Cost and capability details last verified Sep 20, 2026. Pricing in this category moves fast — confirm on the vendor’s own page before committing a course to it.
